Azusa has won many awards including IBAC Figure 1st Place (2000 & 2003 and 2nd place in 2002), IBAC Non-Round 3rd place, Television Tokyo TV Champion Balloon Competition 1st Place, Qualatex Event Amsterdam 1 M and Pandora Box 1st place, to name a few. She was the first balloon artist whose work was featured in an elementary school book. Moreover, she has appeared in newspapers and magazines for her work.

She has a balloon shop in Shizuoka, Japan, with her sister Akane Shibata. Their business keeps them busy at the shop, on decorating jobs, and teaching all over the world.

Azusa's style is very eye catching, characterized by its cuteness, colours and detailed perfect work and is loved by many decorators all over the world. Her work always welcomes people to a magical world.

She just loves working with balloons and not only on the job, but also working with balloons in her free time coming up with fabulous new ideas.
